Question Wiring under the driver seat!

There is a cable, just under the driver seat, except from the seatbelt warning cable. What is the function of it?

Re: Wiring under the driver seat!

Pretensioner trigger perhaps.

Re: Wiring under the driver seat!

It could be the wires from the main loom to a heated seat (even if not fitted to your particular car , the wiring may still be there , to save them making 2 different spec of loom)

Re: Wiring under the driver seat!

Has it got side airbags in the seat?, the seat will be marked as such if there is. Don't know specifically about the Roomster, but a lot of Skoda models have pyrotechnic pretensioners in the seatbelt reel.

Re: Wiring under the driver seat!

My car doesn't have side airbags and heated seats. There is no cable under the co-driver seat.

Possibly for pretensioners or occupant sensor!

Thank you for the back-up!

Cheers...

Are you sure, all Roomsters in the U.K come with 6 airbags as standard. Twin front/side and Curtain airbags.

My guess is it will be a loom for the heated seats, even if your car is not specced with them.

Thank you!

Unfortunately sure! Only 2 front airbags fror Turkey spec ! If it is for heated seats, why only for driver's seat?

I guess, it's only occupant sensor...

Re: Wiring under the driver seat!

That sounds like the answer , if it was heated seats I would have thought there would be a wire under each front seat , like there was in my old Lancer - even though heated seats were only fitted to cars going to Scandinavian market.
