Wot no screwdriver?

I have a Roomster2 and am wondering what the contents of the toolkit should be?

In particular do you still get a screwdriver as there is only a screwdriver shaped hole hewn from the polystyrene of mine? Have Skoda got that stingy?

Re: Wot no screwdriver?

Should be one I imagine. I got a reversable one, you pull the blade out and slot it back in depending whether you want crosshead or flat.

Re: Wot no screwdriver?

Got a reversible (flat head / cross head) screwdriver in my Fabia. Got a few standard bits in mine the only thing that I did not have was a warning triangle which I think they like to charge extra for. Lucky for me my uncle used to work for Audi so I have an Audi warning triangle in my Fabia. I would have thought that you should at least have a screwdriver in your's though.

Re: Wot no screwdriver?

No they dont supply them now, only alloy cap removing tool (if alloys fitted), and a towing eye...

Now, dont ask me why this is, and i work for a dealer, ive tried to find out too, to no avail...there only 3.98 + vat, but you would think that they make enough £ to supply them!

Maybe its something to do with increased crimes in the UK, that involve a screwy?

Removing the plastic engine undertray when it randomly falls off its rear mounts and drags along the road?

Mine was held in with regular cross-head screws. Maybe that was part of the problem

Re: Wot no screwdriver?

engine tray?

Not had one so long I can't remember what it was held on with.... The arch liners attach to the bumpers, etc using torx. I don't recall what the tray used.

Definately T20, I thought that the main use of the screw driver was to quickly spin the wheel bolts on using the recess in the handle. Now you need to buy a screwdriver and a tommy bar!
