| 1.2 3 cylinder engine probs It's not technically a Skoda but- My mums VW Polo has developed a fault, it's the 1.2L 3 cylinder engine (sure they must use it in the Fabia?) and it's mis-firing basically and has no power (well, even less than normal). The engine warning light started flashing at first which according to the handbook means risk of mis-firing damaging the cat. Now the light is on permanantly (handbook suggests lambda fault) and the engine misfires. Anyone got any ideas? is this a common problem on that engine? I can only guess that it's either the Lambda sensor or a faulty coil pack? or pehaps something really simple like a knackered spark plug. |
