| Thought I'd put a quick post up as I guess such things don't come around very often. In today's (28/02) Portsmouth Evening News there is a classified ad for a 40k mile 1360cc engine with new manifold and DCOE Webber carbs. Ad says excellent running order £250 ono. Let me know if you want the phone number and I'll oblige. (I should point out that I do not know the seller whatsoever but thought it could be of use to you Rapid/Estelle fans!) ![]()

| Ithink it will be a 136 engine not a 1360, and at that price i would want it painted, polished and delivered by helecopter

| If you're lucky you can get an entire car with the engine for that sort of money. |

| Are you kidding? The Webers are worth more than that without the engine attached to them! |

| Due Choke Orizontale "E serie" ![]() Basically, the sort of carburetors you'd find on a racing or high end rally engine. |

| Yes, I second that, the engine's worth a fraction of the carbs and manifold (the manifold itself is a pretty expensive item as I recall). And the 136 is the rarest Estelle/Favorit engine. If I thought I had any possibility of finding the time to drop it into my Favorit I'd be off down to Portsmouth tonight! |

| as i understand it, the 135 and 136 engines are the same, but the 136 engine has flat top pistons giving a higher compression ratio and more power! I still love the fact the even the newer fabia 1400s are still a varient of the same age old skoda lump! |

| the 136 engine is probably the most common engine you are going to come across in the uk as it was fitted in the rapid, favorit, and the felicia, just with different fuel supplies, carb, spi, mpi. ive seen a few of these carbs come up over the last few years for between £50 and £150

the 135 favorits are much, much rarer. and i has one so there. the 125 is an uber-rare estelle that was only produced in tiny numbers for poland or canada or somewhere like that... | |

| Actually, with those carbs, I'd like to hope we're talking about a ported head, rally cam and GP A "slipper" pistons, and (subject to condition), and engine making 120bhp (DIN flywheel). |

The first Favorits [LX and LS] featured the 136 carbed engine. At roughly the same time the Favorit Estate was launced the 135 carbed engines were used in both hatch and estate cars. The 135 engine was used in single point injected form for the Mk2 Favorits and in 1994 there was the option of the 136B engine [at a premium of £200]. Very late in the Favorits life the 136B engine became standard. The Felicia L and LX had a 135 single point injected engine, and the LXi and GLXi had the 136B engine. The multi point injected Felicia engines from 1997 on were called 135M and 136M. The engine code for ALL these engines is stamped near to the water pump. That'll be enough of my anorakism for now! ![]()
