| I won the beige 120 on ebay last nite. Drove 250 miles today to get it, had a quick poke round it before parting with me cash. all levels fine etc... Did about 50 miles and the head gasket went!!! on the m6!!! its being recovered at the moment, i bought it to put a bigger motor in it but was hoping to get it home to me workshop first!!! o well never mind!! | crazy! yeah its really hard to tell if it's been properly looked after or not - i'm at the stage i wouldn't trust driving any older car home without knowing the seller! HGs are a doddle to do though - not like fitting another bigger engine, which ruins the handling...! |

| Yes it will.....but you need to change the flywheel, dizzy (unless you got all the electronics with it), water pump, sump, oil pick up pipe and you'll need exhaust and inlet manifolds, a spigot bearing and some kind of carb to suit. I am just completing a conversion at the minute. |

| Bugger! i sold it him. I feel really bad now. I ran it for months and never had any trouble apart from this morning and the battery was flat cause its been stood for a month, so i left it for a bit to charge but all levels seemed fine and the temp guage was ok. Im really sorry Phil, i sware if i had any idea i would have told you or at least sorted it myself.

| As i said im no mechanic. My friend did the Valve clearences for me, hence the r/c gasket. The sump plug was like that when i bought it. thats why i never managed to give that engine a proper service all of the 1800 miles it covered. As for the cooling system it never got touched. I would have liked to get the 130 engine in before i sold it. but never had the time or the money as the car cost me to date £1120 including the 12month tax i put on. Im keen on seeing what the car will be like when you have done though, so keep posting.
