| The results are very misleading. that car tested was old and probably had a fair bit of rust in it. Also if you was to compare that car with any other later Skoda on a rear end shunt the Estelle would win hands down with the engine, crossmembers etc etc in the back. |

| Not at all good in a head on..but wait!! maybe you don't remember the news story about the elderly couple who rolled off Beachy Head in their Estelle and survived because it fell tail first and they were protected by the back rest and head rests..Its True..Honest..it was in the Mirror so it must be!! | The results would have been similar if you have sent a Fiesta or Metro of the same age down the track |

| I knew someone about 8 years ago who had a crash in an Estelle, head on. They came out of it no problem - because of the spare wheel underslung at the front of the car - it acted as a buffer. I have had two accidents in a Felicia (one to the front side, and one head on), and my dad has hit a wall at 40mph when he lost control in ice, again in a Felicia. We walked away from each of them ok. I had some cuts and bruises from my accidents and some physio. I think Skodas are safe cars. Certainly better than the likes of a smart car etc |

| I would rather crash in an Estelle than a Felicia. Both the Favorit and Felicia rate poorly in crash tests, however its all relative. Most cars of the same age do. As for the Octavia moving on Its not really a fair comparison. They are not the same class of car. It would be like comparing a Fiesta with a Granada. |
