| Re: Ebay shop for Skoda Parts What do people think of skoda dealers for parts? Or Butts of Bawtry in Doncaster (they have a price list but it is quite dated now)? I am going to need to grab a good few favorit parts soon and price will be the main deciding factor. Do Skoda dealers tend to have parts price lists? |

| Briskodian | Re: Ebay shop for Skoda Parts Skoda dealers are now becoming under the influence of V.W pricing and this is not cheap. The good thing with a skoda dealer is that you know your getting the right part for your exact car. On ebay etc you have to be careful that your getting the right part for your age / model car. Example with the Favorits is that there were three different types of 1.3 engines. Next year Skoda are stopping making Favorit parts but there are plenty of non genuine manufacturers out there. You do that two strong positives though. Alot of the late favorits shared parts with the first felicias. I know for a fact that shockingly m M reg favorit as a ECU computer. Secondly if you travel over seas Favorits are still very popular so on ebay or similar sites try searchin internationally. You will be shocked at what you find. |

| Briskodian | Re: Ebay shop for Skoda Parts That is good work, the only problem is and correct me if i am wrong but can you order without going through ebay for Jorily Skoda, Why i ask is that i used to use ebay alot but now i really cannnot be bothered. everything is going up in price and the postsge is through the roof, i mean ebay overall. I read a link in the superb section that a seller was trying to sell a replacement umbrella for the superb at £75, yet it only costs £35 from the dealer. what you reckon? |

| Re: Ebay shop for Skoda Parts I contacted them on jorily@btinternet.com and the guy is happy to take lists of requirements and give prices. He also says he is happy to accept cheques and trade outside Ebay. Of course ebay advise against this, mainly because they lose their money from the deal, but secondly because you are supposedly more at risk and don't get the supposed protection ebay gives you. Am waiting to hear back from the guy on the pollen filter and whether it will fit my car but I have an envelope and cheque book at the ready I'm sure the guy won't scam me as he'd prefer me to say Jorily Skoda is great as opposed to Jorily cashed my cheque and posted me a house brick ![]() Also the £6 postage is for the whole lot. I asked Jorily if I could add the royal mail's enhanced compensation option in case of loss or damage (as the value of the order was more than the normal level) and he was happy to add it for £1.
