| Briskodian | Re: engine stops after hi speed runs...... Got two of the Carb model Favorits here at the moment, Its just a basic electronic ignition package there is a Ignition control unit but its no different to other electronic ignition setups. Heres what Ive got on the Ecotronic set up:- Rheinmetall AG - A strong tradition of automotive excellence at Rheinmetall: Pierburg GmbH Definetely not the same as the Pierburg \ Jikov set up on my carb based favorits, or the same as the bosch injection system on my SPI Favorits ![]() |

| Briskodian | Re: engine stops after hi speed runs...... Hilighted your Distributor cap for you, the rotor arm is under there. ![]() Right heres what im seeing, the ignition is mk 1 favorit electronic ignition, the charcoal cannister for filtering the tank vent is present as per mk 2 injection favorit, theres clearly some sort of sensor on that inlet manifold. also looks like the throttle assembly is entirely different. Any chance of pictures with the airfilter assembly removed so we can see the throttle body, and a close up on the ecu? |

| Briskodian | Re: engine stops after hi speed runs...... I believe its part number 3 on this sheet? PIERBURG - 2E-E-VW-Vergaser MY wife is German but doesnt know Car part names so she cant translate the part lable for me, maybe its more help to you? Think it might be a choke sensor or something??? My wifes rough translation (with no knowledge of car technical terms) was choke hatch potentiometer. Last edited by ugluk; 24-11-2006 at 13:00. |

| Briskodian | Re: engine stops after hi speed runs...... Might have found you problem here - theres a check list in English including this :- Check List 2E-E englisch Motor stops during deceleration after wide open throttle driving. Main jet cut-off defective, Replace main jet cut-off. Set 4.07304.02 adjustment to 1,5mm between jet support and plate. |

| Briskodian | Re: engine stops after hi speed runs...... I must admit that I was thinking of "main jet cut off" too.Can this be repaired?? |

| Briskodian | Re: engine stops after hi speed runs...... it looks from the desctiption as if its a part that can be replaced, rather than repaired. I would guess a skoda dealer might be able to help, otherwise maybe a scrap yard seach or maybe replace it with a normal 2e3 type carb? |

| Briskodian | Hello.I got another ideea.Could it be from the "deceleration mixture valve" ??It seems that ,that valve is responsible with the mixture for the motor during the deceleration.Any ideeas??This valve is at the position nr 23 on the Etka Skoda page..... . |
