| Hi I'm a newbie with a problem. My Skoda is a 1995 GLXie Flairline. It was going well. I parked it overnight - next day the gear lever would only go into 3rd and 4th. It can be forced into 1st and reverse and will drive in these to move it about. The trouble seems to be with the gear linkage. I bought a Haynes manual, but for my problem it was no use. I need some clear instructions/diagrams to investigate the linkage system and repair? if not too difficult. Any help much appreciated. . mjc1 |

| Weird that is was ok the day before but here goes my two penneth worth.First does the clutch cable require adjusting ? 10mm nut on cable on the gearbox,i think if i remember correctly that both brake and clutch pedals need to be level with each other.Second, directly under the gear lever there is a nut and bolt that seize up ( felicia's suffer the same) climbe under the car and undo the offending item, grease up and refit. Finally has the clutch just worn out ? |
