Smile gearbox oil level

Hello ! As ,maybe you allready know, I have a 1992 Favorit and I want to check the level for the gearbox oil and how can I add some extra if needed.Thx very much.

IIRC gearboxes have a screw on the side that is opened and oil is filled until it starts to come out of this hole, indicating it's full. Not something you usually check or change unless IN a major service.
Better ask a real mechanic IMHO

Re: gearbox oil level

Look at the back of the gearbox from the top where the speedo drive is bolted.Remove 9mm bolt and remove speedo drive (you can leave the cable connected).Looking down the hole,you can see a ledge,the level of oil need to just cover that.Make sure the car is level of course !
