| hello i have just joined the site after a years worth of estelle ownership and can honestly say it is the best car i have had (responsive steering ,sideways handling even in the dry ,rally heritage)what more could i want ..........maybe better gearchange and another gear, higher diff ratio, new sills, rear seats but even so those issues arent a problem really (i met rob norman just when i was thinking off buying a rover p6b and his enthusiasm rubbed off on me so i decide to keep the est) its not standard because it came with a 105 engine then i went for a 2001 felicia unit after it wore out but now its rather quick but undergeared ,still hit 100 mph @ 6100rpm/110 on the clock (on the race track) tried to add pics (not that great on pcs) the sill pics were from yesterday now it is welded ,is that a common issue as nowhere else on the car has rusted so bad ..........well the inner wings did but i sorted that last year |

| Yeah, rust problems there are common. What have you done regarding fitting a spigot bearing to your Felicia engine?

| hi the exhuast is a volvo 340 backbox welded to 1.75"pipe and a felicia downpipe (it is restrictive at high revs though due to the huge dent it needed to clear the engine mount.......but cost £5 it is only slightly quicker than rob normans 136 even with a 32/36 carb so a bit of tuning is needed (not to much though as 85 bhp possibly more would give plenty off thrust) would a 1400 fabia 8v fit in the same way (i just swopped the flywheel hub with the 105 motors spigot bearing .......amazing the interchangability between models) i have a complete but stripped 105 motor that i dont need anymore (70s vintage) maybe someone could make use of a free motor |

| It doesn't look like the "system" I've seen for a 130 either, which was a straight pipe down from the manifold to the top of the silencer box, and tailpipe out the back end. |
