Collected the Rapid last night - see my thoughts on it in the other thread - sorry couldn't figure out how to change the title to alert people of these photos. The car is dirty and needs a damn good cut, possibly more but there is not a single bit of corrosion anywhere to be found so fix the paint somehow and she's a beut!!Very dirty inside and out............ And check out all the spares - i could start a shop!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

y'know, if you fitted a set of lowering springs to that car, it may well go down as the single most important thing you ever did with your life. at about £70, you can justify it too ![]()

| Nice. The Sport kit suits in in Regal Red. Just needs some K+N Minators now...

Oh sorry about the t-cut comment , I just used it on a '95 Fav as polish (G10) wouldn't touch it and it worked a treat, paint is hard as glass on it, but thinking about it, the older rapids were in cellulose weren't they? so yes better to be more gentle probably

Thanks for all your comments - im very happy with it. I plan to get the paintwork as good as poss and then just enjoy it as it runs very well and im having great fun. What would you suggest for doing the paintwork - method and product? I was just gonna 'mop' it with some cutting compound and then wax like mad? Also, my drivers side wiper arm has a mind of its own - tried to tighten it but frightened to tightened too much but it just like to start its sweep too far up the screen and then swipe off the side? Im just not bothering with the wipers at the mo but its hard when the snow drifts are higher than the car and the snow is horizontal!
