Default My New OLD S100

Well, got 1 in the end . 1971 Skoda S100, 15423 mls on her when I collected it, have added about 400 trouble free mls in just 3 days .

Was nervous about taking on such a long drive home in such an old car , but even it the hot weather we have here right now, she ran like a dream, brakes and steering need a little loosening out, body will need some work, but loving it so far .

Pictures can be viewed here http://www.octaviavrs.com/gallery2/m...g2_itemId=2278

Please let me know what ye think of her guys and gals

He was looking for £2,250 for the car, and had a "new" (prob 25 yo) still boxed engine for it that he was selling for £500. Got both from him for £2,400, so think I did ok . with the mileage the car had done the original engine is running like new anyway, but might come in handy at some point .

Went to a classic car show today, just as a spectator, trying to meet a few people to give me advice on maintaining her, and ended up being entered into the show , got to gate, and was ushered to the exhibition area

Hd lots of people who had neer seen one before, asking all abut it - was great fun, Might try another soon

No Prob about the reg, should be gone by tomorrow , as for the pix, you have access to them and understand PCs better than me , and I trust you to pick a good'un , so will let it to you to deal with it all - (taking the easy way out again )

What about some of these ?
If you click on quote and take the text from each picture, copy and paste to the Calander thread...I think the rules are you have to submit your own.
....Pity we didn't take better scenery ones, alternatively a pic with it along with the Superb would look cool.

Stunning looking car, very clean for its age and well worth the money, prices are well and truly on the up now.

You wasn't tempted with the Rapid Cabrio he has for sale? Under 200 miles from new

She is a 1993 car, at £6000, about €10000, plus being under 30yrs old, would be cought for VRT bringing her in here, my guess would be about €3000, so would not have been worth it to me, anyway, always wanted the S100 or S110, and now I have 1

Beautiful car, Bryan - well done!

Watch for rust in the body shell immediately behind the headlights - my S110L was awful here.
