| Hi there Hoping that someone can help me! Dads car got broken into the other nite, skoda favorit J reg, and the wrong wires were pulled down to hot wire the car!! The wires that were pulled down were from the dash board. When we have stripped the dash board down we have found that the wires go in a socket type panel but what we dont know is what order they go in. There is a blue, yellow, red 2 green and a black. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where i might find a diagram to recify this problem? Would be grateful for any replies!! Cheers Chelle Last edited by VRStu; 02-01-2008 at 10:33. | A Favorit Haynes manual has wiring diagrams. Second hand ones turn up on Ebay, or for a new one Amazon is probably the best bet. s yours is J reg the old version of the manual will be enough and should be cheaper on ebay ![]() |

| With wire numbers, consisting of letter and number. AFAIK these should be printed on the cables themselves and may correspond to locations on the pin connectors. I think the letter may correspond to the connector and the number the location on connector. Blue wires on instrument panel. 2 blue wires in total. One feeds the battery charge indicator light and comes from the alternator (M/6). The other is a feed from the fuel tank guage (N/1) and should be alongside a yellow (N/2), green (N/3) and black wire (N/4). Yellow wires, excluding one mentioned on fuel tank sender, there are 4 yellow wires. They feed the main beam (O/4), LH indicator (O/1), tachometer feed (M/9), and interior light feed B (M/2). Red wires, 2 in total. One from brake fluid warning reservoir (M/6), other should lead to the fusebox (I/5). It routes to fuse number 6 in the fusebox. Green wires, 2 in total one feeds the right hand indicator lamps (N/3), the other is from the oil pressure switch (M/8) which is at the front of the engine (although diagram says this wire can be black OR green). Black wires. Rear fogs (O/8), front fogs (O/6), carb choke switch (O/5), coolant temp sensor (O/2), dip beam feed (M/3), fuel tank sender ((N/4), fusebox (I/2). Those are all the possible wires you mention. As for removing the instrument panel, quite easy to do if you haven't already done it - which it sounds like you have. Remove switch panels either side, undo retaining screws, lift off hood cover, under panel retaining screws and ease forward, unscrew speedo drive cable (may help to undo in the engine bay a transmission to give better clearance), and undo the connectors. Good luck, hope that's all the info you need and can get your head around it all. Yawn, aren't I kind. Just to confirm this is from the diagram that says models from 8/91 meaning up to 1/93 when the fuel injected model was introduced. |
