| Briskodian | Skoda Favorit GLXi Estate 1.3 1994 light switches Hi I've been having some problems with in particular the sidelight switch in my Skoda Favorit GLXi Estate 1.3(1994) in that it doesn't seem to click into position easily any more.I wonder whether anyone has any idea where I can obtain a replacement switch or the mechanism inside it? Cheers Steve Hughes Monmouth |

| Re: Skoda Favorit GLXi Estate 1.3 1994 light switches Steve,it seem's the later Mk-2 Fav's switch was made of cheaper plastics when those pesky VW types took over ! The MK-1 had better switches that never failed but had pants interior's ! You local Skoda dealer should be able to sort you out if they can still be bothered with the old stuff OR try Butts of Bawtry, they still supply loads of older skud stuff. |

| Re: Skoda Favorit GLXi Estate 1.3 1994 light switches You can take those switches apart and reshape the wire springy bit inside to make it work again......sometimes! Failing that get a new one from Jorrily's ebay shop or Butts.

| Re: Skoda Favorit GLXi Estate 1.3 1994 light switches As a quick fix you could just replace the whole panel of switches for a good one. Unscrew, remove, unplug - plug in, replace making sure it's firmly in at the left, screw back in. I wonder if also a MK1 panel would drop in as a direct replacement, although AFAIK would be brown. |

| Briskodian | Re: Skoda Favorit GLXi Estate 1.3 1994 light switches when you get the new switch ,don't worry if the multiplug connector is different , just cut the plug off and join the new switch to the wires ,i tried to buy the correct one for my favorit ,even gave the skoda dealer the chassis number ,they still sent me the wrong one ,so i got fed up of waiting and fitted the one they had sent. |

| Re: Skoda Favorit GLXi Estate 1.3 1994 light switches The spring locking mechanism on my h/l sw broke, so I pulled the front off and replaced it with a screw. Sadly it failed the MOT on this so I got a replacement from the scrappers. Job done! ![]()
