| Hi all As topic title really , I was talking to a workmate today and he got on about his old Favorit (current Felicia estate owner , also had numerous Estelles) , it was G reg , and I was wondering was this one of the first? I cannot remember seeing one earlier than that , most that are still around now tend to be M or even early N reg.

| Ha ha , I thought this thread was posted in a moment of shock, as if the poster had not realised that such a magnificent car such as the Favorit had been released unto the general public, and wondered when this marvel of modern technology had been thrust upon us!! |

| My current Gavorit is G reg (LS model) (Made in 1989) but in Blue. Ive also owned an F reg in Mushroom colour. Quote"What drove people to go out and buy such an awful colour ??" Bearing in mind the colour of the interior I would of thought the external colour was the least of their worries ![]() |

| Most early favorits had a sack cloth brown interior, hideous to lok at but surprisingly practical and hardwaring, and not uncomfortable even on a long run. However It looked crap. I quite like some of the hideous colours early favorits came in, good for stealth ![]() by the way 932, im gald im not the only person to realise the beetle was a nicked skoda design making the porsches skoda descendants ![]() |

| He he, I love re-educating Volkswagon owners about that one when they take the mickey out of my Skoda. As for the interior pics I will get some pics up at the weekend. Its a Brown cheque design. Not great to look at, but bearing in mind the Mk1's had softer suspension they are pretty comfortable. Alos apart from the door trim self destructing the brown dash and switches seemed better bolted together compared to the Mk2's. Also go far much better due to the reduced weight Last edited by Skoda932byVW; 16-01-2007 at 18:21. |

| I rally a mk1 favorit due to the better handling and acceleration Its my favourite out fo the favorit felicia range, not as powerful as my old skoda trophy felicia, but more fun to drive, a bit more tail happy and bit more chuckable . |

I work for Porsche now and when i went for training on the brand they left out the little matter of Mr P stealing a certain idea that became the Beetle ! No worries though i regulary walk to and from our brew room with my Skoda Motorsport mug commenting on how nice these fast Skoda's are ! | |

| Hahah so Porsche are embarrased to say that their cars are derived from the humble Beetle , and Volkswagen are embarrased to say that they stole the design of the Beetle from a previous Skoda design study? Quality. Imagine saying to a 911 owner that the history of their car owed quite a bit to Skoda.....Imagine the look on their face...hehe!

| Thinking about it the Tan colour of the Octavia interiors is probably worse than the brown interior of the Favorit. Scary really. |
