| I know its not the right forum since its not a Skoda , but my dads Citroen Xantia TDI has developed a whisteling noise under acceleration, sounda like its comming from the turbo. Could this be some kind of leak in a hose that would be easy to fix, or do you think it could be something more serious? It doesnt seem to affect power. |

| I dont realy know what that meens, as Im not that used to turboengines (mine is a 1.4mpi...), but if its the sound the turbo makes when it "kicks inn", then it shure has changed alot in the last month ... ![]() |

| Hi there anders my other car is a renault megane 1.9dci turbo diesel and the whistle noise is basically the turbo powering up, citreon/renault same engines mine does it but noticed more audible since having it serviced something to do with cleaner oil as i noticed when picking it up suggested by renault mechanic. hope this helps |
