I think we should have a couple of convoys going would like one from Abington so the edinburgh guys can meet up with the glasgow lot and convoy down the M74 and meet up in biggar with the carlisle convoy, What are peoples ideas to that?

Moffat won't know what's hit them!!

I'm still thinking I might just meet you all there ... not sure what's happening on the Friday yet; there's a slight possibility I might have to spend the whole day down in Gloucs, in which case I've no idea when I'll get back up here

It might be I'm just down there for the morning, or not there at all ... it's slightly confused

Anyways, it's likely that I won't be on here after sunday, so if anything changes could somebody call / text me please.

Evening everyone,

Just tested out the route and it's a cracking drive, I was a passenger noting things down but the road is ace there is a big car park down near a water reseivoir where we can get some pics, and also where we might separate the cars into wee groups as the road does become narrow.

I plan to stop a couple of times for photos.

In regards to the roads I'm going to warn you there is sheep on the road either sleeping or walking, bikers coming towards you but all in all only three cars passed us.

And another thing watch out for the fake speed camera!!!

But if you notice, it's on the wrong side of the road, as it's made up to point towards you as you drive South.

Very true! It's not as good as it was compared to a few years ago since I got caught by it!

A few years ago I drove down there for the first time and went through it a bit quick, then realised it did not look right.

O the sheep. They suicidal!!! Some a then. Need to watch you don't take a sheep home with you as a bonnet peice. At least one thing if you do. It make a nice roast.

OK then lads/lasses. Anyone wanting to travel up together from Carlisle shall we meet up at the Premier Inn at Jct 42 of the M6. CA4 0AD. Leave the motorway and take 2nd exit (A6 Carlisle) and turn right into the complex after 300 yards or so.

If we meet there at 10am, and aim to leave by 10.15am we'll make it to Moffat for 11am.

Should be a good one this, and even tried to recruit a couple more today too.
