Default Edinburgh/Lothians next run....suggestions

After last weeks Fish & Chip run to N.Berwick/Dunbar, do we fancy making this a regular thing ?

Not sure if it suits everyone being on a fixed day of every month as some of us work shifts etc (Tam, Mike and a few others no doubt)

So what do you fancy doing ?

Any places people fancy visiting ?

Daytime or evening ?

Weekday or weekend ?

Somewhere within an hours drive from Edinburgh (roughly) otherwise it just turns into a long drive more than a meet.

Suggestions please.

Oh, and without trying to seperate the regions up, i'm sure we'd still be keen on going to meet members in other regions, it's just Edinburgh/Lothians seem to be the only active group amongst us at the moment.

Johnny

I'm ok on any day really does not have to be a friday could be a mid week blast to break up the working week.

Maybe a wee trip to the anstuther fish bar on a saturday or a sunday would be good.

There is so much on edinburgh's door step that you could do anything really.

I think it should definitely be a regular thing

Weekends would be best for me as I'm often working away during the week.

As for location, I'm thinking the Borders would be good for the next one, there's nice scenery for photo opportunities, although Fife does have some nice coastal towns we could try out also. Doesn't have to be fish n chips for me, picnics/barbecues good also

Either a saturday or sunday would be good then, your right Kay maybe a picnic or barbie to save on the cost of chips. I can do mainly saturdays and sundays I usually visit my grandad but can work round this if we got a date confirmed then I could do this.

Yep, doesn't have to be chips etc...

I'm more than happy with a salad

Borders sounds good, maybe St Marys Loch for a wee BBQ one saturday then ?

I would guess so just for advance notice the only weekend in June I can't make or the next ones I can think of are:

This weekend coming

Saturday 7th June :As the vRS is getting serviced unless it was after 1pm or I just razz the chatham hire car down there.

27-29th June as away on the briskoda camping trip.

So if we can work round these dates then that would be fantastic.

Neither can I.

Or the first weekend of July because my mum's coming up.

Or the 15th June - it's the classic sppedfair at Knockhill and I get in for free.

oh well, but getting back to the topic in hand think it will be good to do something once a month maybe not all to do with the car through maybe some bowling or a bite to eat in town or the pub.
