Hi Everyone.

Some of you will already know me from various meets around Glasgow and Scotland over the last year or so.

My name is David McGowan, and I'm the local meet host for Seat Enthusiasts in Glasgow. I'm also the ClubSE Scottish Region Co-Ordinator.

I'm over here today to try and promote a bit more inter-site relations as regards local meets and events. (and I've already been to www.uk-mkivs.net to 'pimp' in the same fashion

)

I think it would be good for the 3 sites to get together for a local meet every now and then, along with our own meets. Also would make for better days out for more specific events like go-karting (see below). What do you lot reckon?

Right now tho, I would like to give an open invitation to everyone for two meets I have organised next week.

Glasgow Bowling Meet - Hollywood Bowl, Glasgow Showcase East - Wed 23rd Feb, 7:30pm
It had been a while since I was last bowling, but thoroughly enjoyed the January SE Bowling meet, and am very much looking forward to this one too. Click for details!

ScotKart, Clydebank - Thur 24th Feb, 8pm
I've already paid a deposit for this one, and am looking for more people to join in.
Cost will be £30 per driver for the 'Extreme Grand Prix'.
Each person will get 4 heat races, with the top drivers going again in a grand final. Click for Details!

If you're interested, please feel free to bring anyone you want along with you. "The more - The merrier" as they say!
I'd obviously appreciate if you could let me know tho so I can work out numbers - either by posting here, or on SE.

I hope to see some of you soon!

is there a age limit on scotkart cause i wouldnt mind going along there.we could have briskoda vs SE

No. I don't think there is an age limit Andrew.

What was your concern? That you're too old, or were you hoping to bring a youngster?
I can check for you

Would be good to get a bunch of briskodians, some from SE, and I've also invited UK-MKIV's.

Did the event recently with friends and it's absolutely great

no im 17 lol i heard that the go karts in cambuslang wouldnt let anyone under 16 and ive went to a few but wasnt allowed because i was under 18 n insurence wouldnt cover it

Hi Andrew.

The minimum age for racing is 16, but those under 18 must have their disclaimer countersigned by a parent/guardian.
The disclaimer reads:
