| Re: Hhhmmmmmm.......i wonder...... Hello mate, I got Vag-Com but unforunately am in the process of a reinstall of windows. If your willing to wait i'll do it for you. I'm in Ayr at the moment but moving to Killy soon. I have done alarm beep, auto lock and auto unlock to mine. Dont think a second rear fog can be done on the Fabia and you need an additional control unit to do window closure from the remote ( this function is only available by using the key in the door. ) Maybe someone could advise if what i am saying is correct or not and if there is anything else that can be done. I have a fully registered (well will be when i install it again) 409.1 version of Vag-Com. Regards |

| Re: Hhhmmmmmm.......i wonder...... Davie, As far as i know, you can program: Auto lock ( locks the cars doors once you go over 10MPH ) Auto unlock ( unlocks the cars doors when you remove the ignition key ) Selective locking ( have the just the drivers door or all doors unlock ) Alarm beep ( Alarm beep when setting and/or disabling the alarm ) Indicator Flash ( Again when locking and unlocking the car ) Steering Weight ( Adjust the weight of the steering, havent tried this! ) ........and probably more with Vag-Com. Am sure there is others things that can probably be done but its not that well documented on the Ross-Tech site. Regards |

| Re: Hhhmmmmmm.......i wonder...... Hi guys, If its a cable from ebay that Davy has, which i am sure it is, it will only work with version 409.1 of Vag-Com. This is only compatible with XP, not Vista. Version 409.1 which in shareware mode, only allows you to scan for fault codes and erase them. To carry out adaption on any control module the software needs to be registered with Ross-Tech. This involves a fee of $99 but this is refunded off the price of an original Ross-Tech package should you choose to upgrade in the end. Regards |

| Re: Hhhmmmmmm.......i wonder...... The main reason i have an alarm beep for when the car is locked is because my son likes to lock the car from his back door. The car is out of sight by that point so its nice to know that its locked.
