Watching the recent series of Car Wars they have been using the 3.2 A3's as unmarked daily runabouts.

Especially when they are behind you when they do it, and put on the strobe light display

Got a couple of 4X4 Turbo Octavias, unmarked for that stealth approach too!

Cheers,
Steve

Yep, that's round here. Saw that one from Car Wars a couple of months ago near Manc city centre. Debadged as well IIRC, so could nearly pass as a 1.6 Sport/S-Line

The local constabulary driving school got it slightly wrong on a roundabout recently.

I bet they simply loved people coming and taking pictures of that!

That looks like quite a big off

So I gather luckily no one was hurt, only the instructor's pride.

I saw my first Octy patrol car in 'the flesh' yesterday - it was passing Bilston on the A701.

Pity I was in Mrs H Picasso and not my Octy - I could have waved

Re: Lothian & Borders racers beware!

Oops

PS I don't race them above NSL, this was a sliproad and we kinda both booted it, I'm not stupid enough to scream onto the M4 doing major speed to hit the side of a lorry and kill myself (especially during the rush hour where people change lanes without indicating on a FAR too frequent basis, but let's not even go there)

That aside, must be great fun to drive. On the M4 I've seen a Lexus, Ford Focus, Volvo unmarked + a load of marked ones too of various makes.

Hmm , it seems a lot of forces have switched to Silver to get better resale value on their cars at auction when they are finished with them , Berwick (Northumbria) have a Silver Nissan X-Trail. It's a pity they reckon White is coming back in and Silver is on the way out!

Yep, but Air Support and Armed Response Vehicles are a bit of a bugger and having your gonads chewed by a seriously pee'd off Alsation kind of ruins your day unless you are into that kind of thing

Your move!

Re: Lothian & Borders racers beware!

Not just at resale time - quite a few cars simply aren't available in white unless they get a batch specially ordered.

Oh , and my local station now has a black unmarked Octy II VRS estate to replace their silver Mk1 hatch

@Pixi.

We like to call them Alsatians instead of GSD's as it severely pee's off the handlers!
