Re: Next Meet Knockhill 06/04/2007

Looks like RBS are shut on Friday so I am forced to take it as a holiday!

Means I will have more time to pack for the holiday, thus almost ensuring my attendance at this!

Might even have time to give the Octy a wee wash, weather permitting!

P.S. Wouldn't mind a passenger ride in a remapped Octy if there's one going (Purely for research purposes you understand!)

Knockhill 6th April

I'm thinking of attending at Knockhill this coming Friday - not on the circuit though!
If there's likely to be a few of you in attendance, I'll definitely make a point of being there.
So, how many of you can I look forward to meeting

Hi Neil,

Fully intend being there. Incidentally, I might bring a few friends; what does it cost, as a spectator?

Do you think any of the guys going to Knockie will have fitted a Seat Leon splitter to thier Furby? If so, that would be good. I fancy doing likewise and would appreciate first hand info on how to do a spot-on fitting job.

Re: Knockhill 6th April

Hi Again bill as a spectator it is free, and Im sure some of the lads wont mind giving out a passenger lap.

As for the Seat splitter, not sure about anyone having done it, but there will be a few of us there so every chance.

Derek

Re: Next Meet Knockhill 06/04/2007

Was a good night and the car made it home, only to throw up again when I stopped the engine

Need another 100bhp and some brakes. Best get brakes first me thinks. Did 55 miles on track without them, looking forward to some pics.

Anybody know anyone selling a GT3

Re: Next Meet Knockhill 06/04/2007

Never tooka huge amount of pics good night but just a few too many fannies on the track for my liking to be honest.

ADM will probably have a few pics.

Re: Next Meet Knockhill 06/04/2007

Lots of nice metal on show tonight.

Thought the Skuds (and Mk1) did themselves proud.

I may forego the GT3 for that black Turbo (the one with the flaming brakes).

Good to put some more faces to names.

Re: Next Meet Knockhill 06/04/2007

Very pleased with the Octys performance - after the last remap/exhaust the torque available means that the only place I need 2nd is the hairpin - otherwise 3rd will do for the rest of the circuit. Hit just over 100 in 3rd on the back straight

My front tyres (winter tyres ) were going off and I was having horrendous understeer - nearly ended up in the kitty litter twice

I was having a nice tussle with an Impreza - he had more grip out of the corners, but once on the straights he was falling back

Nice to meet the other guys.

My Andrew got some photos before the batteries in the camera died

Also some video

i only got about 250 pics was a good night some of those cars were pretty rapid! even that 993 turbo managed to set its brakes on fire! and craig that lil golf seriously moves! was pretty surprised when i was in daves leon following you.highlight had to be at the end though, was gonna go out the gallardo but that red flag lasted to long so the owner offered to give me a lift to dunfermline.what a ride never been in something that was so brutal and the owner said he will take me round the track at the next one top guy.
