Re: Scotland Meet.

A daunder would be fine, too old for a galavant, how does the weekend 21/22 fit in with all your plans. Thinking of starting around Stirling way. Heading up A84 and stopping for a beer / coffee somewhere on route.

Sounds good for me. There are a few nice pubs/hotels up that way and you could do a circular trip - Stirling/Killin/Kenmore/Sma Glen/Crieff/Stirling - great roads to play on

Re: Scotland Meet.

I was thinking that route if it's a nice day if not them the Aberfoyle loop or Loch Earn then Comrie and back over the hill to Braco, I do like the "moss road" back from Comrie. (B827)

Drove it in a blizzard one afternoon

At least you don't have to worry about being shot at now

Re: Scotland Meet.

The weekend 21/22 suits me but I drive like an old woman so either I'll have to start before the rest or leave me a picture Although it would be good to meet up with some fellow Briskodians , Although Ill probably ask more questions that answer them

Re: Scotland Meet.

Now have my shifts for the year. Dates for a meet. 28th Jan or 4th / 5th Feb. The date with the best turn out has it. Suggest we meet Stirling way then decide a route depending on weather

Re: Scotland Meet.

OK lets set a date, 5th Feb meeting at Stirling Services. Rough plan, go for a run depending on weather either round Aberfoyle and Callender back to Stirling or Round Loch Earn to Crieff way and back to Stirling. We could make Matchmaker the tour guide.

Lets call a start time of 12:30. Hope to see you all there.
Craig

Will maybe bring SWMBO and kids - younger son doesn't like Dad driving too fast. Older son has been round Knockhill with me a few times...............

Are there any non black cars up here?

Re: Scotland Meet.

SWMBO and kids are coming. In the interests of Briskoda, we'll have a recce to check out decent pubs on the route before the day itself - SWMBO's suggestion

Kildean might be a better starting point than Stirling services.......

If you need any help checking out pubs on thr recce, I'm your man. I'd thought somewhere like the Munro in Strathyre or the likes, good parking and a Ok pub, a lot are shut at this time of year.

I thought about Kildean also but thought more roads meet at the services, but they all end up on the M9 northbound anyway,
Kildean would be OK.

Strathyre sounds good. More parking at Kildean - also less out of the way. Mind you, Stirling services are close to Newmarket Garage - we can drool at the Octy vRS Mk1 on the forecourt, Octy vRS Mk11 demo and Fabia vRS in the showroom

All, BTW, in black magic
