Default Scottish Camping meet.

Seeing as the (semi) decent weather is upon us at the moment, and a fair few of us have raised interest in camping.

Can we throw up some suitable venues...dates people are free etc... and get something moving.

Maybe just a saturday night somewhere, few hundred beers and cider and some dodgy bbq grub.

Not sure where is good for camping to be honest, so i'll dig around and see what i can see, otherwise suggestions most welcome.

Everyone welcome, and am sure we're all willing to travel for the right venue.

I'll have a think when I get home and see if I can remember where I used to stay. My favourite one was up near Inverness which is probably a bit far for a night, but I think I stayed at a few in the Borders too.

I'm willing to travel to other exciting places, however.

That would be a good area: it's a nice drive from all directions too.

I'd be up for that if other people agree.

I'm glad someone mentioned midges!

I can only do the 2nd weekend in August but end of July would be OK too.
