Can give you loads of quiet good roads round Glasgow. The A82 is spectacular and plenty of scope for loops!

June / July is usually hectic with loads of people on holiday.

Howabout August 1st ?

Late Breakfast / Lunch Meet Somewhere that sells good food, followed by an afternoon's drive / Return to Pub Later.

Not sure about the A82 though. Wont it be a bit touristy this time of year ?

Hmm depends, Loch Lomond is always busy, even in Novemeber. Glencoe etc is usually fine. There's plenty of scope for going off the beaten track to Kinlochleven, and Colintraive etc. Of course there's plently of roads closer to Glasgow but they are only good for 2 hours at most.

I'm up in Scotland last week of July if anything is happening then.

Won't have the dog this time so will be able to chuck the car around more.
