VAG trackday school Knockhill 2005

I am trying to gauge interest in organising a trackday school at Knockhill for VAG-based cars only, around March time next year. Many people have shown interest in the school, mainly because you get tuition and confidence-building stuff before you go out on your own.

I have approached Knockhill and they are willing to sort something out for us. I'm looking for around 25 cars and the cost would be £55 a head - the trackday school would be a Saturday morning from 9 'til 12, tuition and class stuff from 9 until 11:30 then an open track for the last 30 mins. I attended this school last year and it was very good, well worth it if you fancy a go on track but are worried about it.

I am opening it up to SEAT, VW, Skoda and Audi forums to try and get the numbers.

Any interest?

I'm tempted by that, but would need a firm date before I can guarentee anything.

In Fife - quite easy to get to. It's about (I guess) 15 miles from Dunfermline and the Forth Road Bridge.

I'll let you know the dates Knockhill come back with, hopefully tomorrow, but so far the latest info is that it will be a trackday school on a Saturday morning in March 2005, we need 25 cars at £55 a head. The morning lasts 9 'til 12 with both on track and classroom tuition and an open session at the end.

Doesn't work like that I'm afraid - Knockhill won't give me any dates until I can gaurantee the numbers, which is 25 cars.

I need definate 'yes' for this, not 'i'm interested' or 'maybe', straight yes or no please - payment will be in advance with no refunds as it costs £1100 + VAT to book it, and I ain't being out of pocket by THAT much! Please respond below with definates if you want to attend.

Rob,

you would be best speaking with Des about this if you want to make it a Briskoda thing - he is the track day maestro (he drives like he owns a maestro on track days too!).

Im sure 25 is an easy number to fill - Knockhill is a lovely place - assume instruction is optional for those of us who know it?

It's not a Briskoda thing, it is open to all VAG-based forums, I have posted on SEAT, VW, Skoda and Audi forums, hoping for a good mix of all.

Because it is a school and not a trackday, everyone must follow the format, you can't skip the instruction because it is supposed to be for track novices. If this is a success then I will organise a subsequent proper Scottish VAG trackday.
