When on the sat/sunday would be good to come along and have a good look at your pride and joys? Despite my best efforts, swmbo doesn't think a fabia is big enough but I still hanker after a elegance/vrs rather than a sensible octavia. Someone has to help me convince her a fabia is big enough for a baby or two.

thanks,

daiking.

(jim'll fix it for you)
Bit OT, but Fabia is fine for one baby. How about Fabia Estate? (If there had been a vRS estate, I'd definitely have had one).

I had to get rid of my Fabia because there was not enough room in it for one baby and their gubbins. Estate would be worth a look though...

Emily, Real Ale sounds good! Only problem I can see is will it settle in time? I'm assuming you're referring to a barrel anyway!

I don't nag! I am just the sort of person that if something needs to be said I am the one that says it - and sometimes people mistake that for having a gripe when in reality I am offering constructive improvement suggestions.

Re: The BRISKODA Summer BBQ Overnight Meet

Yes, I was going to ask about bringing our own food.

I can go to Makro and buy massive amounts of the BBQ stuff VAT free if people like. Just give me some clue what to get.

Oh, and the real ale is looking distinctly possible!!!

Re: The BRISKODA Summer BBQ Overnight Meet

Just a quick update on this meet.

I've got a route for the drive planned, and I'm meeting Mr Grumpy (and possibly Col_G) this afternoon for a test drive of it. Will let you know how it goes.

With regard to food......

For lunch on arrival there is a pub on site or a cafe in the Activity centre, or just bring your own sandwiches. No need to pre-book anything.

For the Sat evening B-B-Q, thanks to E-E for volunteering to get some meat etc, but I am wondering whether trying to confirm numbers and making sure you get paid is going to be a lot of hassle. Assuming the weather is hot, there is also the problem of keeping the food cool during the drive up and while we are out in the afternoon. There is a Tesco supermarket about 5 mins drive from the campsite, so I was going to suggest seeing how many of us turn up on the day, and then all throwing a few quid each into the kitty and just going to buy some meat, bread, salad etc when we get back from the drive. Any opinions?
If anyone has a B-B-Q that they can bring please do so. We will see how many we have and get disposable ones from Tesco as well if we need some more.

For Sunday breakfast, I will arrange for the cafe in the Activity centre to open a little earlier than normal for anyone that wants to eat there. I suggest about 9.30ish - don't think there will be too many of us up before then! If you want breakfast can you please make a note of this in the list (with numbers required).
I don't want any pre-payment, but we will need to buy food in so please take your name off the list (preferabaly with a bit of notice) if you change your mind.

Really looking forward to it - should be a good day/night.
