| Just a feeler, and I believe this has been done before, but what are people's thoughts on a Great Britain meet? Probably somewhere in the midlands would be best and because of the numbers would require a fair amount of planning, but after the success of the Cat & Fiddle meet recently with it's 25 cars, I see no reason that given a suitable venue that a larger scale version wouldn't be feasible. ![]()

| Re: GB Meet A poll was done on this recently by the Staff team and the Midlands came out as a vastly preferred option for most people. I suspect they have something up their sleeve - Its just not been announced yet.

| Re: GB Meet Judging by the numbers at the Cat & Fiddle meet, we'll need to find a Pontins or something and rent the place out. ![]() Thanks for the heads-up Jase, no doubt a Brisky staff member will let us know.

| Re: GB Meet Castle Combe appears quite good value to hire out as well. But it would need 60+ cars to be willing to pay £100+, and also it would have to be midweek to get the best value. I suspect the Combe's weekend rates are into 5 figures?

| Briskodian | Re: GB Meet Stanford Hall is next Sunday 7 May. that's about as close to the middle of the country as you can get. Jct 19 of M1 where the M6 / A14 cross it. Its a simple turn up & picnic on the lawn type show, but you'll see some really cool & really rare cars there. Gates open 10am - 5pm Skoda, Tatra, Lada, Wartburg, Daf, Borgwald & Trabant owners clubs host it as their biggest joint meet. IIRC 65 of the 130 cars last year were Skodas. more details at ... http://www.stanfordhall.co.uk pictures of previous events at ... http://www.wartburg.fsnet.co.uk/ifaday2004.html

| Re: GB Meet Briskoda Uk meet in Florida - guaranteed warm weather ![]() I would go with midlands. Anglesey is alright if you live within a 200 mile radius, wot about the people who live Kent. Cornwall, Norfolk & Scotland, the outer reaches of the British Isles. How about Calais or Bolougne there are some quite good campsites & b&b's close ![]()

There should be a good Skoda presence again this year. Sko-Forum and Skoda Owners Club GB should be present. And it is the 30th Anniversary of the Estelle so should be a fantastic turn out. Plus you get to laugh at the Trabants. | |

| Re: GB Meet You're lucky, I get the modern "doohickey" servicing costs, and the price of fuel in my Maxigolf, Sorry, Octavia GLX. When I bought this, I needed a car, and was looking for a felicia. On the same day I bought this, I was offered a 136 rapid with Sport kit and Weber. but I needed something for work, and the Rapid MOT ran out the day I needed it. It had sold about 20 miles away on ebay, but the guy who bought it couldn't be bothered to drive from Worcester to collect it, if I wanted it. |
