See the Meets and Events forum

Not really much in the way of shows, but quite afew meets, especially with the northerners.
Also tend to go along to some of the Scooby meets to show them up

I think there's a few scooby refugees on here.

Must admit I go to scooby meets, especially drives and trackdays. Its good to surprise them with a Skoda Always get favourable comments. Mine is quite well known, especially to the scoobynet members.

Day tripper
The Skoda Owners Club GB runs a few shows for Skoda cars , be warned that most of them will be the rear engined cars tho , the 'New Generation' Skodas arent in the majority in the club. Also I would suspect you would be made welcome at a VAG type show (VW AUDI SEAT fans)

There is no problems with the VAG group meets at all m8. Though I don't have an Octavia, I got a Fabia, and am a member of a VAG club and regularly attend their meets. Even to the extent that I have been accepted on their stand at the biggest show of the year for VW's. GTi International.

On another note. I too love to show people up. Got some favourable remarks from a m8 with a slightly breathed on mk2 GTi 8v who couldn't lose me last night on the way home from said meet!

Two dates for the diary are the VAG track days at Castle Coombe, Wiltshire (J17 M4). The first one is 26/7, entry £4 per adult, and the 2nd one is 11/10, entry FOC. I went to the Oct one last year and had 6 laps for £20. This was a bid event with the likes of Forge, Jabba, Miltek and loads of others all there.
CC is a good circuit and venue - there were lots of Seats (as well as VWs and Audis obviously), but only my RS and a bronze Fabia on track. Did meet Jon Stopan there with his yellow one.
Not to be missed - suggest we get e meet organised there for these dates?

The bronze Fabia on track was me m8!

Had a fantastic day. Had 2 runs for £40. Got a video of the day too. Had a m8 sit in the car wiv me.

Didn't see u on track, but did see your car parked up as I wandered round.

BTW the October one is an Audi only day now. They had a moan that they wanted the track to themselves, so we only have the July one to show them up on now!

Hi Fab16v- your car looked very good. I went out late in the day near the finish, as it was a bit quieter then. Looks like the July date then -although I will check with Combe about the Oct date as they do have a habbit of changing things.
Also I cannt see that there would be enough Audi enthusiasts to fill the day!

We do have meets, of a sort.

Last year we had a longish weekend at Silverstone for the Touring cars June bank holiday weekend.

This year who knows? Looking at arranging a trip to the Ring in August. This Sunday a few of us are off on a track day with a difference. Colin is muttering about organising a track day for us. Ian tried, without a lot of success to arrange an Anglesey track day for Easter time.

The Northern mob meet up on a weekly basis. We also have 1 or 2 runs out (reminder to self, pack spare sump) each year. Last year it was up in t'Yorkshire Dales at Christmas time.

Ian, Colin, Steve, Des, oh and me can be found at track days throughout the year (me probably the most, just over 7,000 track miles in the last 12 months ) Manny, Mattias, **** (who seems to have gone missing) can also be found at the Ring on odd occassions

Cheers m8. Didn't see yours on track unfortunately as I left fairly early. Will try to get down for the July one. It falls the week after I get back from hols. Not sure if the little beast would get through scrutineering now though as she is rather loud! Might be worth a try though.

Am gonna try to get around a bit more this year to more of the shows and trips and so on.
