| Track day - 8th March Llandow Following on from a conversation with Des and Steve on the southern meet: Anyone fancy doing a track day at the beginning of March? Open pit lane (ie as many laps as you fancy) £99. I know its in Wales but its a nice little track with a reasonable mix of the tight/twisty and fast, rather like a flat version of Anglesey. Details: http://www.bookatrack.com/isapi/bat....b&c&23 Steve is up for it, Des unfortunately doesn't have a car on Saturdays so will be getting a lift. Any takers? Nice and convenient for those of you with a southerlly persuassion.

| Llandow's just down the road from me (well, it's not [i:9c104da841]very[/i:9c104da841] far away, anyway). I'd be interested in coming along - but just as a spectator. My wife would take a very dim view of me trying to take the car on track. Besides, the sight of a bog-standard 1.8T auto plodding around the track wouldn't do Skoda's image any good at all

| Mornin' Gents, Yep we are still on! Des, I'll PM you some directions to my house. Its going to be dry? Damn! I like it wet, but then I'm strange. If you have your own helmets, bring them, if not let me know as I have a spare full face and a spare open face. Bike (motor not push!) helmets are acceptable. I'll be going down the M4 Steve, need to be there for 9ish. Autoroute reckons its about 150 miles, so leaving mine at about 6:30-6:45. Bear in mind, I drive like a granny ie set cruise control at 75 and just bimble along. Could meet up along the M4 somewhere? My mobile is 07866 727618 if you need to get hold of me. Jon

| Still a **** | Track day at Llandow LMFAO ![]() Porsche, Subaru, Caterham, TVR, Honda NXS, Lotus and more all fell foul of the weather execpt for two unknown drivers in their nondescript red and black vRS. I can confirm they all know about them now as they parked up after the first session and wondered over to the skoda's. There quite good those 4X4's Skoda,s aren't they (wrong). The way you came past me you must have about 300bhp (wrong). It's a bog standard vRS, 180bhp, front wheel drive and it cost 15 grand, F*%K off you lying B*&^%$DS. The Porsche driver needed a JCB to pick his jaw off the floor. I think Steve is still grinning now. The marshals need a bigger black flag, that do you think Steve. To much to mention. ![]() Still can't stop laughing.

| Briskodian | Im still getting over it! I cant believe that my little red RS held it's own amongst the so called ultimate Trackday cars. I lost count how many times i overtook Lotus/caterham/TVR/NSX/Porsche/ Scooby{Did i get 'em all Des-did i }in the wet.As the track dried the only cars that gave me a run were the Focus RS and the Suburu.{I later found out the Scooby had 300bhp }Where my RS lost out on power id gain on the brakes. The other great thing about yesterday was i lear'nt more about my car in 8 hours than i had in 12 months of ownership. Ok so at one point i over did it and spun the RS {hi Jon }but i didnt hit anything .127 track miles ,10.9 mpg and 1 n/s/f tyre- EXELLENT!!!!I hope Des and Jon enjoyed it as much as i did. Steve P.S In defence of my 1 handed driving style, as a cab driver i usually save my left hand for white van man {no estate owners need apply :p } |

| Hi guys! Well, what more can I add? Not a lot really, I'm so glad it rained (see, I was right, its so much fun in the wet!) Steve, I'm so glad you had a good time, no worries about the spin One thing I learnt as a (crap) rally driver is that you always hit co-driver side first, a lesson for the future perhaps? Hope your neck recovers LOL, my brakes are rather good aren't they ![]() Oh well, 4 new tyres beckon, the day was meant to kill them off and it did. ![]() Absolutely cracking day, bit windy and damp but hey, we had fun. Fancy doing another? ![]() Hope your lad enjoys the video oh and congrats again on the sprog ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Well, it wasn't the spin, so it must have been either the curb jumping or the other off ![]()
