Re: trax aftermath

very windy there too, the track was a bit damp and greasy at the start but dried up within an hour or so so the guys with the later slots got a nice clean dry track

went excellent as far as i know, none of us had any major issues and hopinh everyone got/is getting home fine

Nobody crashed during the track time then, unlike previous years.

I wouldn't worry about it to much Nick, the place has no grip anyway.

I had a bit of a tank-slapper moment on it - at about 30mph

Re: trax aftermath

I enojyed it immensely. I lost the back end on the "warm up" lap on that bloody first bend - Put me in a great frame of mind for the rest of the session. But I did OK I reckon, just taking it dead slow on that bend.....

7.31 seconds was my best 0-60 which I'm happy enough with - plenty of wheelspin. Hoping someone caught me on camera. Video'd makefish doing a 7.68, but was handed a 6.68 time, so I don't know what to believe. (I wanna believe I got a better 0-60 than a stage 2 Revo'd new octy vRS Not that Steve's is modded in anyway)

Weather was quite warm, but very windy. Means I didn't feel myself getting sunburnt. I'm a little lobster like now.

A great day out though - so glad my tickets arrived! And thanks to Dave for sorting it all out again this year.

Roll on Czech roadtrip now.

Nick - I think my back end was squirming, and losing front grip at less than 30mph around it.

Indeed we mustn't forget Mr U's sterling efforts - several Brownie points due there too. Well done Dave!

Re: trax aftermath

nowt, i did offer him my awesome cossie* saphire. i still think he should have shown us how to do it in the explorer!!

but yes a big thanks again to dave for making this happen as it was again a great day

and i don't really see what you people are going on about with this traction issue on that corner come into it at about 35 in 2nd then boot it at the apex then lift off harsh and get he back end to kick out a bit for the right hander

*the aformentioned car isn't a "factory" cossie but infact a 1.8cvh with cossie wheels that infact make it well fast man!

Re: trax aftermath

Big to Mr Dave 'Late again' U for arranging everything again this year. SWMBO and Q Jr have caught the D1 bug, so look out for me in the championship in a few years time

Would have had a great 1st session on the track if I hadn't forgot to switch the ASR off and the video camera on

Session number 2 went fantastic, but jeez, are those Skylines slow or what?

Re: trax aftermath

I had a great day. Trip back was stress free, I was too tired. Just set cruise to 60mph and toddled along in the slow lane.

I am sunburned, very sunburned.

Princess is still sleeping, these meets take it all out of her - bless. I do not think she is over being smuggled into the show ground in my boot.

Thank you Dave U for organising it all!
