Trax mini meet at Chievley

Seeing as its getting close anyone going from the south fancy a pre meet mini-convoy?. Was thinking about meeting at Chievley Services (A34/M4 Junction).

Time now decided 7.30am.

I will start the ball rolling.

Re: Trax mini meet at Chievley

Oooh, how far from Chieveley is Silverstone? It's only about 15 minutes isn't it - Maybe 25? I would try to get there a little earlier to avoid the queues. I've got there at 7.30 the last 2 times, and it's been pretty much plain sailing right in. I'd say get THERE for 8am at the latest.

Re: Trax mini meet at Chievley

8am might be a little late. I suspect we'll use the usual alternative access into Silverstone.

Re: Trax mini meet at Chievley

you looking at about 30 mins to get up to the M40 from chieveley. also watch it for hi viz and dark vauxhalls on the bridges and slip roads, they seem to love parking on the bridges and even more on the slip roads running onto the A34

Re: Trax mini meet at Chievley

RAC says Total distance: 53.28 miles, 85,8km
Estimated total journey time: 1 h 21 min
... if you're lucky with traffic 1 h 14 min
... if you're unlucky with traffic 1 h 31 min

So allowing for the fact that some of us have slower cars than others I would suggest leaving Chieveley by 7am at the latest.

So meet at 6:45am to leave by 7am. Or meet at 7am to leave for 7:15.
