| you looking at about 30 mins to get up to the M40 from chieveley. also watch it for hi viz and dark vauxhalls on the bridges and slip roads, they seem to love parking on the bridges and even more on the slip roads running onto the A34 ![]() |

| RAC says Total distance: 53.28 miles, 85,8km Estimated total journey time: 1 h 21 min ... if you're lucky with traffic 1 h 14 min ... if you're unlucky with traffic 1 h 31 min So allowing for the fact that some of us have slower cars than others I would suggest leaving Chieveley by 7am at the latest. So meet at 6:45am to leave by 7am. Or meet at 7am to leave for 7:15.

| Whoa chaps, just what time do we need to be at the circuit? Imho 9:00/9:30am is plenty early enough and I certainly aint busting a gut to get there any earlier this year so based on Ians travelling times meeting at Chievely at around 7:30am should leave plenty of time. Just my penneth worth you understand ![]()

| I'd go for the leave at 7:30 then just as I don't fancy sitting in traffic at t'other end.

| Public gets in at 9, so there will be much more traffic in the lead up to then. Leaving 7.30 from chievely is good. ![]() At least the track session timing this year means those who do get a bit stuck do not need to bust a gut to get through briefing quickly.

| Does anyone know the fabled back way in and is it going to be worth it at that time? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

| We'll discuss it at the meet so as not to make it too public.

| Are you all stopping nearby Silverstone, to re-group if necessary? Just wondering if I can meet up with you all there. Look like I'm making a lonely M6/M40 journey so far ![]() Looking at it, I could come off the M40 at J11, across the A422 and join you lot around the Brackley area. If that's possible I just need to work out what time to aim for ![]() Cheers, Steve

| That's a blow Xav. I'm almost out of action myself after getting a nasty crack in the windscreen a couple of hours ago.
