Purchased a new Octavia 1.9 TDi Elegance Estate last April. Traded in what had been my ex company car (Mazda 6 Estate) and was more than pleased with the discount on the new car. Sales staff are polite and friendly although not quite up to speed on their Skoda knowledge as they have only been selling them for a few months. I was told that the first sevice was due at 10k but this can't be right as by default they are set to Variable Service Interval......we shall see. Just one fault on the car from new. The steering wheel was offset to the left in the straight ahead position. This was corrected while I waited in about an hour. My overall impression of Laser Motors is that they are still finding their way with Skoda but their customer relations are quite good....if they say they will phone you back they do. Good luck to them in the future...I hope they have every success in Harlow.

Took my car in for 1 year & 20k service. I work locally, so drove my car to the dealer, picked up a technician, drove to my place of work and the technician drove my car back to the garage. I didn't have the car all day, despite only 2.2 hours of labour being charged and dropping it off at 8am, but perhaps that was me being unrealistic with when I'd get it back? Service cost was pretty reasonable, going on either quotes or costs for the 20k on this forum, reception/service desk were polite and helpful, car was even washed, but on my way home I noticed a small stain on the passenger seat, which, to my untrained eye, looks a little like engine oil which wasn't there before - which is disappointing. I can't be bothered getting involved in a 'you did it' 'no you did it' arguement, and I think it should wash out okay, but it was a small slight on what was a pleasant service experience.

Had my 40k service carried out by them in July this year , found they were more competative than the usuall ones back in Kent , polite service , fixed a washer jet , not working , under warranty , and would return again .

First hurdle is getting the attention of someone in the Reception Dpt. very in-attentive and boadering on being rude. They serviced the car and when I went to collect it found the ASB light would no got off, went back to reception and was treated as though it was my fault the light was on. They also charged me for work that was not carried out. Two weeks later the 02 sensor light came on, phoned Laser five times to make an appoiment and was told no one was available to take my call and I was told they would phone me back. Four months later I am still waiting for that phone call. I took the car to Preston Motors, Forest Gate in the meantime.

Contrary to my previous posting, I had cause to visit Laser Skoda, Harlow today. The receptionist was extremely polite and dealt with my problem instantly Reason for my visit was the N/S/F window fell out, Laser replaced the mechanism and fitted a new motor all free of charge and no labour charge. All done while I waited. Well Pleased!

Have only visited them as a 'browser', trying to ,ake up my mind on an Octavia 4x4. Salesmen very polite, let me play with a showroom car without disturbance. Only worry was when I asked how the 4WD works, showroom, reception and workshop staff all became involve d and very helpful, but could not answer the question!
