I didn't buy my car here, but have dealt with them on 3 occasions.

1. Needed a mini fuse - No problem and no charge (its only a few pence but it would make you come back)

2. Clear laquer - again no charge

3. Looking into getting a fault code rectified - presently working on but have been more than helpful.

I can see why they earned the title - Dealer of the year 2004

Car in for 40k service.
I was kindly given a loan of a car for the day.
No problems carrying out work ie brake fluid change, which should have been done by previous dealer 2 years ago.
My fault code which was rectified by Phoneix motors has stayed away, so for sorting that one.
Other routine stuff checked and changed.
Any queries were listen to and answered (not like the usual deaf ears which I was used to).

Overall very pleasant to deal with.

Have the car serviced here. Fantastic Service department. Never afraid to show the customer exactly where issues lie and always happy to help out on any issue. Somewhat difficult to phone the Service department but the Service is extraordinary.

Introduced Gaff to them...

yes it was a little difficult to contact them but once booked in it was fine, even as a first time customer they organised a courtesy car

I was dealing with the service manager who was very knowledgeable, my car had a couple of flatspots off boost and was generally feeling a little poorly (but no check engine lights) she was close to 40K...

they diagnosed a "lazy" maf and a manky TB along with oil n filter n plugs she is now running sswwWEEEEETTTT!

We even briefly discussed remaps and it was interesting to hear that some are bad and some are good ( bpm ) but it made a refreshing change from the usual irish dealer approach that any mods are a bad thing, he also was suprised at my gearbox going previously saying they'd never seen a vRS needing a complete box before

anyhoo, all in all i was very happy with the service car is now running better, wallets a little lighter but they do exactly what is says on the tin and you cant ask for more than that...

cheers

Re: Phoenix Motor Company Ltd - Dublin 7

Ordered a few parts for my Fabia vRS and they arrived the very next day. All reasonably priced as well. Phoned me as they said they would to let me know the parts had come in. Haven't had to get my car serviced yet but will definitely be using them and reporting back.

Re: Phoenix Motor Company Ltd - Dublin 7

I've been using them ever since I got my Octavia, in fact I got the car from them in the first place.
As has been said, the service guys are very knowledgable and helpful, they really know their stuff. However I didn't get my timing belt, tensioner, pump done there as they worked out a fair bit more expensive than Shaws from Longford. Herself is from Longford anyway so it wasn't any hassle getting it done there but I feel like I've done the dirt on Phoenix !!

Re: Phoenix Motor Company Ltd - Dublin 7

They were helpful organising a test drive of the New Octavia Scout.
Went from there to pick it up at JKK Phoenix. All calm and got the insurance sorted without hassle.

Will report on the test drive somewhere... what topic / area

Probably best put in the New Octavia Section http://www.briskoda.net/forums/new-octavia/, so how did the test drive go?

Re: Phoenix Motor Company Ltd - Dublin 7

Test drive was good. The improvements from the earlier Octavia 4x4 are significant. The increased power is very noticeable at before 2000 rpm. We like the plastic wheel arches and underside as this is an area that suffers on existing fleet. We believe the underside clearance is very good and compares with some of the big SUVs. 3 other drivers were fairly positive.

Not sure if it is a rigid suspension but going over speed bumps seems much smoother in the Toyota Verso PC.

Unfortunately my back was not 100% so I did not get to measure a few things on the underside or take a bumpy track test.

Am writing up a purchase case now.. do you know of any good running cost tables where one can compare different fleet vehicles etc.?

I also want to get servicing intervals & costs from Phoenix & Autostation

Re: Phoenix Motors (Prussia St) - Dublin 7

I was just in with the Guys today to get the Maxidot I bought off Stu fitted. The dealer I bought my car from a few weeks ago would not touch it with a barge pole. Called these guys an they said no problem. Had it done in half an hour and very nice to deal with. Very knowledgeable and even suggested this site to get info on. Had a lot to say about BPM, I am sure there is a job there if he ever wants one. Great to deal with I will probably be getting all the work done here from now on.

I normally brought mine to main dealer. Not too sure what the options are, Motor Factors maybe? Btw I wouldn't bother with the Rear Genuine ones, ya will end up sounding like Dublin Bus with a set of those.

What are you getting instead?

Btw You have a PM
