In 2005, Škoda Auto managed to consolidate its market share in the Central-European region (in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina) from 17.8% to 18.6%. It was particularly an increase in the number of Škoda cars sold in the Czech Republic (+5%), Hungary (+4.5%), Slovenia (+16.4%), and Croatia (+1%) that shared this achievement.
Škoda Auto is the market leader in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. What's more, this primacy is the first-ever in the brand’s history in Poland.
During the successful year 2005, Škoda Auto achieved its all-time best sales figures in Hungary, Rumania, Ukraine, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Moldavia. The Škoda cars also enjoyed extraordinary customer interest in the Baltic countries – Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia with Škoda Auto registering its new sales records there as well.
