I have a Mk1 Octavia vRS for sale. It has done 38k miles. It has a full Skoda service history, MOT until 11th Jan 09, Tax until Feb 09. The 40k service has just been done including a cambelt change due to the age of the vehicle. It has all the standard kit for this model: ABS, traction control, climate control, 6CD multi-changer in boot, half leather seats, engine immobiliser, 17" alloys, 3 x 3 point rear seat belts, remote central locking, ...

I have had it a year and would keep it for longer but I am going to volunteer on organic farms in Europe for a while, beginning in Ireland, to travel and to experience a different day-to-day.

hmmm second that i just saw how much the insurance would be for me (20 yrs old 3 years no claims)

lets just say its more than half the value of the car!!

plus i would end up dead in a car with that much power

Yeah, it's insurance group 16 I think, so not at all friendly for younger drivers looking for insurance. I'm glad it got someone's interest though. Cheers for the good wishes.

Yeah, I've got A4 bits of paper on both side windows with the price in big numbers and my phone number. The market is a bit slow at the moment as everyone tightens their belts during the economic slowdown. I expected a little bit of a wait. I just hope it goes before I go off to Ireland, and before my insurance renewal comes through.

I was very lucky selling my 1.9 TDi last year. I sold it within a week, but that's a much more sensible car with broad appeal.

I'm going to take Wardy's advice and have a look at putting it on PistonHeads at lunchtime.

The modifications to the grille were courtesy of the previous owner. Silver strips have been added to some of the grille fins and the bottom centre section has got a wire mesh cover.

And it's sold. Thanks for peoples' interest. In the end it was the advert on PistonHeads that caught the crucial bit of attention. Now I am another step closer to going to Ireland in October.
