| Re: Octavia vRS Mk 1 All things being equal, I would like to keep it, but finances are getting a bit tight, and although it averages 30-31 mpg around town (nearly 40 on a run), I just need something (diesel Passat or A4), that does a few more to the gallon !!!

I was about to start looking for a MK1 Octy RS, and noticed the prices falling dramatically since last time I checked - there was a spotless Y plate with 80k on it going for under 4k the other day, and Autotrader seems to have at least 5 in my area all under 5k where they would have been over 6 a few months ago. I think the fuel increases and the govt's hidden car tax scam have scared a lot of people off! I was actually wondering if your motor was still up for grabs a few weeks back as I'm just down the road in Leicester, but unfortunately I've had a few health problems hit and I think it's going to be a little while before we work out how serious it is :| Hope you manage to work around the iffy market and get some joy |
