Superb - "Edition 100" PD130 manual £7995 Just Serviced

Edition 100 - sits above the Elegance in the range.

This car has, what is considered to be, on these forums, the best combination of engine / gearbox in the Superb - a manual PD130. 50mpg + is easily achievable on a run.

I've had this car since May 2006. I have a very long commute, so a lot of these miles have been up and down the M1, with around 6 1000 mile round trips to Scotland thrown in

55 reg (Oct 2005)
50,500 miles though this will rise
Full History (Variable Servicing)
Just Serviced at 50309 miles 8/10/08
2 new rear tyres (09/10/08) Michelin

2 recent front tyres (Continental Sport Contact 3)
Tax to March 2009 (will check)

Full Leather
Piano effect dash
Factory Sat Nav
Electric Front Seats with memory
Solar Sunroof (cools car in summer when the car's standing)
Folding rear seat
Uprated stereo with CD Changer in boot (I'll try to get the details on this as it means nothing to me)
Climate Control
Heated Seats Front and Rear
Rear Blind
17 inch alloys
Remote Central Locking (can close windows and sunroof with remote)
Sunset Privacy Glass
ESP
Rear Footrests
Edition 100 Floormats
Edition 100 Kickplates
Edition 100 Badging
Edition 100 Gearknob
Twin Chrome Exhaust
Octavia 2 style Steering Wheel
Bi-Xenons
Cat Vision
Auto dimming rear mirror
Electric folding wing mirrors
Ski bag
ABS + EDL + ASR + MSR

The alloys on the car aren't perfect with some kerbing, though the worst damage was down to some trye fitters, with some scratches on a couple of the alloys. I have a spare set of 17 inch Orbit alloys available via separate negotiation to the car. These alloys are brand new and still in the Skoda boxes.

This is the worst alloy on the car, with scuffs courtesy of those tyre fitters:

Service is due in 300 miles - car is booked into a Skoda Main dealer on the 30th September for the service and end of warranty check (including pinch bolts!). It will also have the MOT done to save me going back in a few weeks time (will have 13 months MOT).

[EDIT - The car was booked into a Skoda dealer, but they lent out the courtesy cars to other customers after I'd booked about 6 weeks in advance. I instead had the car serviced today (8th October 2008), at a local Volkswagen Audi Group specialist]

£7995 ono

Car has only done about 200 miles since the car was serviced and had 2 new Minchelins

Car also up for sale on Pistonheads

Car can be viewed in LE10 or Sheffield.

Re: Superb - "Edition 100" PD130 manual

I can't believe the Edition100 came out on a 55 plate! It seems like only a couple of months ago they where in the showroom. A very nice car indeed and very good on fuel.

Re: Superb - "Edition 100" PD130 manual

The car now has MOT until October 2009.

The car was serviced Serviced at 50309 miles 8/10/08. This was not done at a Skoda dealer - the car was booked in at a Skoda dealer, but they let me down on the day with the courtesy car. Got it serviced instead at a local VAG specialist, who, IMHO, do a better job than the dealers anyway. Car is still on the variable servicing routine, and the correct grade of oil was used.

Brake Pads were replaced at this service (think it was the fronts). Pinch bolts were taken out and lubricated as preventative maintenance. Turns out one was starting to seize!

2 new rear tyres - Michellin, not cheap stuff (09/10/08)

The manufacturers warranty has now ran out.
