I'm sorry to dissapoint you but there are two reasons as to why we can't include you on the list. The first is that this a Skoda RR day (although consideration would be given to other VAG cars) and the second is that I believe your car to be rear wheel drive which would mean that extra time would have to be included for repositioning the equipment which for twenty cars is time we don't have.

All that said, you are very welcome to come along as a spectator and IF there were time at the end AND JKM are willing you may get a run

Steve. I was happy to wait until the end like I did last time if that is still possible. If not, no worries..

I don't think anyone has a problem with that. I'm sure if you are happy to come along and spectate there will be an opportunity to get a run but as Steve said priority must be given to Skoda cars.

The more of these JKM do the smoother the operation runs so the time between runs is reduced and thus the overall time is cut down which should allow for extra runs at the end. TBH I think it's quite nice to see a few different cars.

Aye, but last time you had an LCR (a VAG car).

Apologies to anyone that has a non VAG car (someone has to I suppose ) but like I have said before, you are welcome to join us as spectators but it would be pot luck as to whether we have sufficient time to get you on.

Just an after thought, If you are interested in this with a non-VAG car add your name to the spectator list with 'RR Interest' in brackets and I'll see what I can do.

I've took my name off the list. I don't fancy driving a 200 mile round trip, to be told It's not possible.

seems a bit harsh, is a briskoda member not a briskoda member anymore?

surely if a member signs up to a meet he should have the same rights as any other member?

also forgot to say that if i'm gonna go i'll be up for everything like before

Have to agree with you. Willing to pay my way, just as everyone else does...
I appreciate that... Skoda's go on first, but I'd prefer an accurate answer in regards to whether I can run or not.

I'll come if I'm allowed on with the Passat

Have to say I'm a bit disappointed about Aaron, he's a fully paid up Freedom member , likewise with myself.

Its a Briskoda event after all, not a Skoda one. JMTPW.

Either way, I think I'll come down, probably for the night before too if the hotel is reasonably priced!

I have to agree with this. I appreciate he does drive a Rice burner but surely his good company and continued involvement in the community should transcend this?

If I'm not allowed on. I'll attend anyway, and bring some banners for a protest. Martin's car is normally dirty enough to 'finger write' with..

Re: JKM Portsmouth RR Day II - 21 July 07

Ok ladies lets not blow this out of proportion.

JKM have organised the RR day for Briskoda. They have asked for it to be limited in numbers to ensure everyone recieves their best attention and that where possible all cars are Skoda. It's not Steve being an ar5e or anyone being victimised, it's simply how JKM would like to run the day.

What they have said, and in fact did do last time, is that time permitting they will run other makes of cars if the owners would like them to do so but the preferance is for Skoda's.

Ok, so now to the blunt bit from me - If you want to run an SEAT then go to the one that JKM organise with SCN, if you want to run a VW the same applies with UKMKIV's. If you want to turn up at the Skoda event then feel free and as I said, JKM will endevour to accomodate you. I know Aaron for instance has a fair distance to travel. as does Tom and I would hope that once the list is finalised a decision could be made.

A third option is to book a power run directly with JKM and they will accomodate you.

You may also wish to note that a few of us have chosen to take a back seat and not run on the day to allow others the chance, that includes other makes of cars as described above.

I'm sorry if you don't like it this way but that, for now, is how it is. Lets not ruin the event with protests or bad feeling.
