Unhappy No Rice- Victim of its own success?

A number of Briskodians boosted the VAG community at No Rice last night . However, people seemed to have come from far and wide this time. What is normally contained to the car park was forced onto the service access ways . In other words there were cars everywhere. The services management complained, and the police were called to encourage people to move the cars that were in the wrong places. we will have to see what the verdict is from the management regarding further meets. This will no doubt be posted on the No Rice web site. Will try keep you updated. Great to see fellow Briskodians up there, apologies about the end result . Sure you can see that it is a usually a decent organised meet.

Re: No Rice- Victim of its own success?

I was there last night and got home before midnight without any police bother.

Was a long way to come, but it was a very nice get together. It wasn't a burn out wheel spin ch.av fest that I feared it might be. Just lots of people who had spent a lot of money on their cars and wanted a chance to show them off.

Maybe they could hold the meet on a Sunday in a Tesco mega store car park or something. Charge a small fee to enter (£2) which can go to the store.

It was very civilized.

the thing is, only a small minority of people who go to the meet are are the forum, so it's difficult to get word around. and no rice has always been the second wednesday. charging people to attend was discussed before, and was decided that no one would pay

tbh, it's not that well organised. the only organised thing was that the services manager was asked if the meet could use the car park, and he agreed. the local police were also consulted
