Stu has been absolutely amazing about it. It was one of those things, but still. Kicking myself about it but what's done is done, and we'll sort out fixing the cars tomorrow. Just shows how easy it is to make a stupid mistake.

Yeah next time you walk into a bar with a number plate under your arm, please make sure it's not one of mine

Sorry I didn't get to talk to too many people tonight - Wasn't meaning to be rude.

Had a good evening, nice to have a few of the 'girls' there, I think they managed to make a dent in the wine stocks.

Actually I think next time I will park behind WW as I could do with a new front to get rid of the stonechips.

Cheers Will do my best - joking aside, will get this sorted out asap, my ego is probably dented more than your car, but that doesn't mean it doesn't need sorting

Nice to see you all today, regardless of numberplate exchanges I should have put the show plates on instead

Hi all,

Just a quick note to say thanks for the warm welcome this evening. You never know quite what you are walking into at these things, but it was a very pleasant surprise.

I agree that it was nice to have a few girls around too. I think they keep everything on the straight and level...

...well, everything except Hayley anyway. I have never seen such a convincing impression of a person tryng to stand on the deck of a ship in a force 9 gale <stumble stumble>. She DEFINATELY dented the wine stocks - and nearly a few bonnets too.

Might see you all at the RR day next month, but if not, then I look for ward to the next meet at the Star (hope we can avoid the accidents next time).

Take care

Steve.

Ps: Anyone care to enlighten me regarding the video MissKia seemed so embarassed about...I am intrigued!

I think Hayley managed that on her own.

How many people got Hay on their camera phones in the car park? have they been youtubed yet?

Yep - enjoyed it, and enjoyed the impromptu "ah bo**ocks to it, let's drive to Newbury" decision at 4pm yesterday.

Thanks to the regulars and the newbies for making it a most enjoyable if eventful evening. A terrific turnout is making this venue a permanent fixture on the callender so watch this space for another one at the begining of August

Re: Star Inn, Newbury - Friday 6th July

Oh no, another video

Thanks for organising this one & next time I will try to go for the 'be alert, not sleepy', 'watch where going properly' and 'avoid hitting other cars' angle

Definitely was a good atmosphere and as & when I'm in the country I'll try to make it - might have to ask Mr Hedge where to hit his, in case I feel tired based on his post

Any pics?

Dagnabit. My mate had to change his diary about at the last minute which meant I could not get to this. Ruddy nightmare. Was looking forward to meeting some new people...

Next time, eh...
