A few more photos

Right here we go

-------------------------------------------------------

Now what on earth is Tigger doing?...

-------------------------------------------------------

He seems happy with the result.....

-------------------------------------------------------

Ahhhhhh, another twirly whirly

-------------------------------------------------------

On the way down to Woolacombe

-------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------

Oooooh look! The twirly whirly strikes again

-------------------------------------------------------

Awwwww A BRTTS match made in heaven. Just admire the wonderful weather and scenery

-------------------------------------------------------

We're all parked up there somewhere

As you can see, we're loving every minute of beutiful English summer weather

-------------------------------------------------------

Surfers obviously loving it. The guy to the left with the yellow / orange board looks like he's having serious fun

-------------------------------------------------------

Guess who?

-------------------------------------------------------

A bit further up the coast, a quick stoppie for admiring the scenery.

There. A rather enjoyable day despite the weather and the slowish Citroen van thingy which held a few back on the drive up Forlock hill

Don't talk to me about the citroen van heap of junk - I thought that it would never make it up Porlock hill

It was not fun being stuck behind that abberation - max 20mph in 1st gear all the sodding way up I had to drive so slowly behind it that the poor SMIC could not cope with the lack of cooling air and by the time I got to the top the intake temperatures were sky high so the ECU cut all my boost - I was reduced to driving a naturally aspirated car for the next two or three minutes until the temperatures reduced sufficiently for normal service to be resumed

Overall it was a good time (despite the rain and fog )

The trip back along the M5 was interesting, Xav went awol, Tigger and Fowlerwelsh reached some v.rapid speeds and the odd BMW was baited

Shame about the weather. not meaning to rub anyone's nose in it but I live by that kind of "scenery" and I get a little used to it sometimes. North Devon coast is very nice though, and Exmoor is very pretty.

Here's to getting my car back and working a.s.a.p

Hello you lot just got online and BRTTS (Rain) was lovely
nice Pub lunch at woolacoombe (Fowlerwelsh couldn't wait to be served)
driving through the lanes after woolacoombe was nice also with them being so narrow and loads coming the other way suddenly realising they wont get far with a convoy of skodas coming along (I bet that bus dint expect us also)

Porlock Hill and Lynton and Lydmouth where lovely and I tryed any excuse to get everyone to turn round and and run them again 1st attack of porlock hill had a nice 20mph run up along the flat for about 3 miles (clear the road in front )

Oh yeah Jason just to ensure you have enough warning the next BRTTS is August 2006, If your car will be ready on time

I was only driving slow on the Green road (because on my map it said it had loads of Speed Cameras

So you just have to hold the meet somewhere downhill from Jason's workshop and get someone to tow him home.

lies.... all lies......

Although it was funny when tigger got side by side with me to wave or yell abuse, but then when he attempted to overtake me......he didn’t realise i had a "mod" under the bonnet... so i waved bye bye to tigger. leaving him

Could i just compliment all drivers that went yesterday on their driving and sensibleness.... Every village or town we arrived at, we would all stick to the 30 or 40 limit, and even on national speed limits we would "try" and stick to 60mph. No stupid overtaking manoeuvres.... Just a good day out.

Even on the motorway we generally stayed in convoy in the "slow" lane. (waiting for Xav).

Ive seen some other "car enthusiast" groups on the roads before and they have been driving like tw@s.

nice one guys n gals

Just to clarify - by v.rapid speeds I actually meant 70mph (really officer )

To echo Fowlerwelsh's comments - everyone drove sensibly and it was a really good day out.

I even managed to get my Octy to average over 30mpg this time

Trip stats:

Distance: 235 miles
Time: 6 hours 35 mins
economy: 35.3mpg (Porlock Hill did not help this though )
average speed: 35.5 mph

You'll struggle to rub a Scotsmans nose in it , i will put my neck on the block and say i recon i have one of the most beautiful drives to work every day anywhere in the UK if not further afield, but i must admit, like you say above you get far too used to it.

Below is my workplace, if you remove the big hulks of metal its even nicer

Glad you all had a nice day tho, looked fun
