Talking Isle of Wight meet, another 'feeler'

As a few have expressed an interest in gracing the Island with their presence yet again, I thought I would post a feeler to see how many are interested and if a suitable weekend can be arranged.

Will thinks after Christmas (Saturday Jan 13th) because his social diary is just too full to entertain anything else. Also, the roads will be empty.

I think it will be too close after Xmas for some and it will be cold so I propose it to be before Xmas. Also, the roads will be empty as soon as the kiddies go back to school.

The Pix is speechless.

Would this go down as an historic day?

Sounds good to me. Hopefully by then I'll have a little more money to spend on socialising. At the moment I'm a bit poooooor, and going to be a bit tight for spending money on the Czech trip. Diesel and food only. Oh, and women,

It's swings and roundabouts really. Check the websites for offers and book online for the best discounts.

Some other things to take into consideration are;

www.redfunnel.co.uk - between Southampton and East cowes, takes one hour and has better food than wightlink.

www.wightlink.co.uk - from Portsmouth to Fishbourne, takes forty minutes and the only thing worth having is a latte Also runs from Lymington to Yarmouth, prehistoric ferry, no latte but takes half an hour and can be entertaining when there's a decent rip running

We are protected marginally by being an Island. There is only one road that is notorious for ice and I promise I won't take you down it

Don't be scared Gooch, come in the Z you know you want to

So nobody has any issues regarding it being close to Xmas? It makes no difference to me, but January can be a long month for some

Shall we make it Saturday January 13th then?
