| Apparently I heard the main show bit is on the Sunday, which means it will be 2 night stopover.... This is tempting me more in the direction of camping rather than staying in my car... unless there's a 6 foot by 2 foot bit of floor somewhere. ![]() MisterGT - that pub is so f***ed up. But I like it. That little cubby hole full of stuffed animals. ![]()

| We will be leaving our apartment on the saturday so won't be around that night. I definetely won't be able to keep up with Becky as I am a 'sniff it and I'm drunk' type drinker. That highway man pub looks very interesting, might have to stop off for some lunch on the way down or back Can someone please add me and mr p to the list aswell as 'big v' (she's black)

| Can anyone recommend from experience decent places to eat/drink? I see that Jamie Oliver's new fifteen restaurant opens this month down at Watergate bay but is likely to need booking 3 years in advance To be honest I prefer a nice country pub. We found one on a beach a couple of miles out last year and ended up doing the pub quiz with the locals, hilarious Has anyone tried the Indian on cliff road before?

| The one on the beech sounds like the one at Peranporth The chippy at Porth is good and is sometimes staffed by an amazingly gorgeous blonde (Mr Pixi will appreciate her I'm sure). The chippy at St. Merryn is also good. |

| Definetely wasn't perranporth, but I may go to that one this year. It may have been the Bowgie Inn, I'm not entirely sure. No offence to the chippy minded but it aint really my thing I was thinking of a nice country pub to spend the afternoon or evening, more of an experience than being attacked by ninja seagulls trying to grab your chips, why do the seagulls down there look like they've been on steroids ![]()

| There is a really nice pub between St. Merryn and Padstow, cant rememer what its called but the road its on has a really big dip (sorry, not much help!). Avoid Padstow "Rick Stein" if possible as there are nicer, less touristy restaurants elsewhere. For those interested in this slightly related bit of info - Google Earth has recently been updated in the Newquay area. |

| hehe - Will, you make me out to be an alcoholic! I'm notttt Well, being a 'sniif and drunk' drinker is the best sort to be! Saves a lot of dosh! But yes - people must make up for the drink that Will doesn't have seeing as he's killed himself with all those years at University being a hard drinker hehehehe ![]() |

| Anybody see Booze Britain on ftn last night ? It featured a bunch of guys from Newquay who called themselves 'The Tanks'. It followed their antics on a night out in Newquay, which included drinking other peoples urine and sick ![]() |

| Newquay IS the drinking capital of the southwest. Not really a very nice place unless you're into drunken yobs etc. |

| I have a love/hate relationship with Newquay. Mr P goes for the surf, mostly fistral, and I go for the beach. In the height of summer there really is some scum there, it's like englands answer to Ibiza town But I cannot wait to get there now as we are staying in such a fantastic place this time I have now put Mr P out of his misery and told him where we're going/staying. Obviously he is chuffed to bits and already plans to spend over £250 for a new wetsuit as soon as we get down there I managed to casually drop into the conversation this morning....by the way, we will be meeting up with the skoda lot
