Anyone know if this is going to be a wash out with the rain that's been forecast for tomorrow??

Re: New Forest Summer Meet (with camping option) - 30/6/07

Well BBC have changed their mind and gone from heavy rain to light rain for tomorrow so it looks like tomorrow they'll be forecasting sun

Start is at Ower Services just off J2 of the M27, probably best to meet in the car park just after McD's. We'll be aiming to send off the first cars at 9:30am (assuming anyone has turned up! )

Is this for the treasure hunt? Because i'll be by myself and will therefore probably struggle!! Also I am coming from the west (Weymouth), so will have already passed through the new forest!

That is for the treasure hunt. Don't worry about doing it on your own - allowances will be made when marking if you still want to do it....

Re: New Forest Summer Meet (with camping option) - 30/6/07

Ran the route today and it took 1 1/2 hours so if you're the first car out at 9:30am then you should be done by 11-11.30

Cool.
What time are most people getting to the services for if we're starting at 9.30???

Does anyone know of any speed cameras on the A34, M3, M27 or A36???

Re: New Forest Summer Meet (with camping option) - 30/6/07

SO this treasure hunt is serious then!!

Is it done by cars or on foot? What is the first prize? Is SatNav cheating? Does it help if you know the area?

Re: New Forest Summer Meet (with camping option) - 30/6/07

We're aiming to be at the services around 9am.

Treasure hunt is a bit of fun, Em, but I know some people can get competitive Sat Nav won't help you, nor will a knowledge of the local area. Majority of route and clues can be done in the car, however, there is a list of "scavenger" items which will require you to leave the vehicle

The route itself is pretty much spelled out in the directions so if you get lost it's your own fault

Watch out on the M3 for a shiny silver mkII vrs.

Chances are it isn't there for the treasure hunt

I've had a quick look through the thread, but it may be quicker just to ask...

Can anyone remind what pub you are hoping to all meet at?

cheers!
