Maybe. I will need to clock up a few miles in on my new Fabia. What happens in Marlborough country? Just hanging around wearing cowboy hats and smoking fags?

Me and my "horrible child" could be persuaded to attend, and if it's a weekend when I don't have him, ok if I bring my better half?

Are the steel bbq things still up at Postern Hill picnic area? If they are that'll bring back childhood memories of denuding the forest for firewood bet you have to bring your own fuel these days tho

We would have to book the BBQ area in the forest and the Forestry commission do charge something,....the common is totaly open (no shelter and the loos are 500 yards/metres away) but we can get/hire (£10) a large BBQ to go up there if need be, and the common would be free (no hire or booking charge) if everyone brought their own barbeque stuff (the odd half a cow or a whole pig ) and rolls etc then everyone gets what they wantwe will find out and come back with figures later but it wouldn't be much each for the forest......... if loads turn up it would be even less each

Just some ideas to bounce around....

Perhaps once the numbers are know a certain amount could be sent to the organiser/thread orginator (perhaps) for them to buy food locally and cover ground hire etc.

Would make it easier and none of that awkwardness ove rwho brought what.

Charcoal and lighting stuff peeps could bring as well as drink.
