Well just had a very nice "ploughman's" lunch with some of the cheese we bought yesterday, washed down with a pint of very nice Cider

Now off for a snooze

marmite cheddar, tomatoes, crusty granary, and a Firkin of Thatchers :hic:

Averaged 39.8mpg on the way down which is a new high, back down to 28.3 for the return tho

What happened to Si? didn't make the cheddar due to dog

hope it ain't too costly

Big rock from the gorge was in the road. I managed to get around it and looking back I wish I'd just stopped dead, stuck my hazards on and got out to chuck it in the undergrowth...

Ye we thought the same thing cos we were first, but we managed to go over it with just chipping the top so we thought everyone would be ok ... forgot that Octys are lower than Furbys ... Me, Will, Em and Roo all stayed around until the nice AA man came to pick up the car ... freezing mind you and pitch black! The AA man wasn't there 'within the hour!!' like they promised but he was nice and I think he blamed it on the 57mph limiter he had on his 'bread van' as he called it

Hoping that it was an ok trip back ...haven't heard anything from either Si or Nikki yet, so will just have to wait and see!

All in all though, twas a great trip! Hope everyone had a great time!

Yup another Octavia sump destroyed

Is there a 'I lost my sump' club yet?

Been underneath it today and theres a nice hole in it the size of a £2 coin.
Think it lost all of it's 5 litres of the oil in the gorge as theres none under it this morning.
Luckily it doesn't seem to have done too much damage other than a bent lower strut brace.
Will hopefully have it back on the road later this week.
Will post pics later...

Was a great meet and was having a fantastic day up until the 'rock' incident.
Looking forward to the next

Just got back now - thanks to everyone for a great day out. Good to meet a good few new people too.

Next Weston Super Mare meet Saturday 3rd November

this meet is the pub meet with nice views from the pub out across the Sea

don't worry we should still be able to get our go on the pier, Train and trips to cyder farms

Wasn't able to make the mini bristol meet either for the same reason

But shes on the ment now and im back in the dog house
