Just looked on the AA and the RAC sites and at the moment the m4 between J16 and J17 is closed due to road works

hoping it's just an overnight closure and will be open soon

Here we go.....if it's still closed now they are working well then

Parts of the M4 in Wiltshire will be closed overnight for essential works.

The motorway will be closed between junctions 16 and 17 from 2200 Friday until 0600 GMT on Saturday.
Dave Frampton, from the Highways Agency, said: "We are closing the M4 to allow the replacement of overhead electricity cables.
"The work has been scheduled to be carried out while traffic is light, but will inevitably lead to longer journeys for overnight traffic." Diversions will be in place.

OK just a warning I used one of them automatic car wash thingys last night, was scarey first time I've used one of them. luckily it did not break anything. But everyone will be able to see the results as I did not touch it afterwards.
